The greatest of God’s creations is the human mind, which He tells us is modeled after His own mind. Instead of embedding instincts, God has given man intelligence, learning, emotions, will, character—all reflections of God’s own mind and distinct from anything in the animal world. In addition to all of that, He put in each of us a conscience—a silent voice that Paul says either accuses us or excuses us. What did he mean by that? Is conscience a blessing or a problem?
