Firsts For The Church

The book of Acts is sometimes referred to as the book of beginnings, or the book of firsts. Luke records a number of dramatic events that had never happened before with the newly established Church. Every one of those “firsts” changed the perspective of the brethren, and focused them on the need to live by faith. That transformation to faith was powered by the giving of the Holy Spirit. Without that, nothing else that occurred would have been able to make a lasting impact on the Church.
