Pentecost and Jacob's Trouble

The prophet Jeremiah tells of a time of trouble for God's people which is brought upon them due to their sins and their turning from God. Although God corrects His people, He will not leave them and promises to restore them. The only way this restoration will lead to the fulfillment of God's ultimate purpose for them and not back into cycle of sin is through the giving of the Holy Spirit.
