We know that "all scripture is given by inspiration from God" or "God breathed". If all scripture is inspired by God, have you ever wondered why some passages are recorded in the first place? Because from a carnal perspective, on the surface, some of these things seem to have no value to our spiritual growth or spiritual walk. Things like genealogies, for instance, lists of repairs that a bunch of Jews made to a broken down wall in Jerusalem. This sermon given during the PM service on the Feast of Trumpets gives insight for the inclusion and the surprising connection to the Feast of Trumpets and the work that God gave us.
