The Yoke is On You

God uses many examples, parables and analogies to get an important Spiritual principle made clear for His family. One such example is that of a yoke and a yoke of oxen. Leaders and conquers put a yoke on the necks to control and break a people. A yoke of oxen were a team—you never find one working alone. They were trained as a team with an older leading and a younger working along-side. The New Testament reveals some interesting things about the yoke. In Matthew 11 Christ calls people to him who are feeling burdened and invites them to “take my yoke on you”, literally to be teamed with Christ one-on-one working together.
