Have you ever found yourself asking, “Why would God allow this to happen?” “Why didn’t God answer that prayer?” or “Why did God open this door but close that one?” Most Christians have wrestled with questions like these—when prayers seem unanswered, during seasons of pain and suffering, when tragedy strikes, or even when they believe they are doing what is right in God’s eyes yet still face hardship. What do we do when God’s actions seem confusing? How should we respond when God doesn’t make sense? This message explores biblical examples of people who struggled to understand God’s ways and examines how we, too, can respond faithfully when we find ourselves in the same place.
