A Season of Joy (1st Day of UB)

We are appropriately sobered by the events surrounding the Passover and the process of self-examination. But is the whole season supposed to be somber? Both Scripture and history show that the Days of Unleavened Bread usher in a time of celebration and joy. Does that joy show in our lives as it should?
