Abiding with God

God has always had a desire to dwell with His people. Those receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit have access to God and can chose to be in a close, abiding relationship with Him. Abiding with God is a spiritual state and a process requiring our active involvement in response to God’s desire to abide with us eternally. The process requires that we desire to stay in this relationship permanently, that we agree and be of the same mind by submitting to His will, and that we change and become a new creation.
