In the New Testament, God has gifted the members of the body for building the spiritual tabernacle or temple of God.

All of these gifts are given to each member of the church to fulfill His purpose. In I Peter 4:10, it states that every one of us has been given that particular ability to have at least that one gift, at some time after our baptism.
