This message explores one of Paul’s most serious warnings about Passover. The wine we take each year carries layers of meaning that reach back through Scripture and forward into the New Covenant Christ opened through His death. Tracing what the Bible says about blood, covenant, ransom, and belonging, brings the Passover symbol of the wine into sharper focus. It also shows how Christ’s sacrifice makes it possible for believers to abide in Him and share together in the covenant He established. If we want to approach Passover with the understanding Paul calls for, it is worth slowing down and looking carefully at what the symbol of the wine represents.
