Atonement a Day Worth Celebrating

Just as we celebrate the weekly Sabbath by thanking God when sundown Friday arrives, and we rest, and we meditate, and look forward to a time when all people will understand the weekly Sabbath day, God commands us to do the same on His annual Sabbaths, including the Day of Atonement. So, what is there about the Day of Atonment to celebrate?
