Today, Christ is with His Father at the throne of God—a great distance from us. But that distance does not limit Christ’s ability to come to our aid. Jesus Christ is not in Bethany when he hears of Lazarus’ sickness; Jesus Christ already knew that Lazarus was sick; Jesus Christ knew that His sickness was not unto death; Jesus Christ knew that His sickness was for the glory of His Father—and Jesus Christ is the same today, yesterday, and forever.
