But the children of Israel reached a point where they wanted out of bondage. They had had enough. They came to resent the idea that, before their children, generation after generation, took even their first breath, the child was in bondage, born into captivity, born a slave to the taskmaster—and they had had enough.
What about you and what about me? Are we tired of being enslaved? Do we even realize that we are in bondage? Or, have we been lulled into complacency by our taskmaster?
If we want deliverance from this world, we must come to the place where we are sick and tired of being in bondage.
