Feeling sorry for our sins is just the starting point. If we were to run a race, the announcement “Runners, take your mark” is like recognizing that we are sinners and that we are sorry. We have heard the call, and our minds have been pricked, but that is not godly sorrow. Godly sorrow addresses the question posed by Mr. Harold Rhodes... “Do I recognize the need to live according to God’s laws in response to Jesus’ sacrifice for my sins?” and am I willing to take action to change.
