Jesus Christ was the God of the Old Testament. This is a fundamental, foundational teaching of the Church of God. Understanding this allows us to see the continuity of thought and purpose throughout the entirety of the Bible. The Old Testament is not inferior to the New. One builds upon the other. It then reaches forward to the conclusion that includes the entirety of the God Family. God the Father is the supreme authority in the God family and directed the Word (Christ) in all that He did. The Father and Son work together in perfect harmony as a perfect team. And they want us to be a part of that.
