We humans are often intrigued by the lives of the rich and famous. A good example of this is the social media buzz that occurred this week with the announcement of the engagement of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Long before there were movie stars, athletes, or social media influencers, the Bible records the story of a man whose fame spread across nations, whose wisdom drew rulers and scholars from around the world, and whose wealth was unmatched in his day. That man was King Solomon. This sermon reviews the life of this amazing man who has a great number of passages in the Bible written by him and about him.
