I John 4:16 says "God is love." What does that mean and what does God's love look like? Unlike romantic, familial or brotherly love, Godly love (agape) is divine - selfless; esteeming others' worth. John 15:1- says that we cannot please God unless we are living in His way. We are to live a way of life of Godly love. This is much more than a feeling, it requires action and is not always easy. Obedience to God's law is the way we show love to God. Serving and sacrifice is how we show love to our neighbors. Matthew 24:9 warns that a time is coming when the love of many will grow cold, but we must abide in God's love.
