In Psalms 23, when David says Christ “leads me beside still waters,” or in our version, “My love (my husband) leads me beside still waters,” we are discussing godly, loving leadership.

The failure of godly leadership for mankind began when Adam and Eve chose to take for themselves the knowledge of what is good and what is evil, what is right and what is wrong. Let’s examine Genesis chapter 3 and gain a deeper insight into what happened due to the failure of godly leadership to lead beside still waters, as well as the punishment that ensued from God. God calls on husbands to lead with godly, agape leadership!
