“God will not allow more on you than you are able to bear” seems very comforting, but based on the scriptural passage from which the statement originates, the statement isn't true.
Since God does not promise not to allow more on us than we are able to bear, what does God promise regarding ongoing sickness, debilitating disease, chronic pain, mental illness, government persecution, financial crises, fraud, gang violence, demonic influence, demonic possession, or the threat of death? And what should we do when a trial or trials become more than we can bear?
