Predestination

Does the Bible teach that our eternal fate has been predetermined - either to be granted eternal life or to be thrown into the lake of fire? It is a belief taught by several large Christian denominations that predestination is a real part of God's plan of salvation, but a careful study of the Bible shows it is not the determining factor as to who will receive the gift of salvation.
