This split sermon shares the intense personal battle of a young teen wrestling with God’s response to human evil and suffering in the face of the murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till. For our young people, belief in a loving God can lead to wondering,”God, what are You doing?” Scripture shows God sees, hears, remembers, and acts in accordance with His plan. How do we connect our young people to a frame of doctrinal truth that demonstrates God does not ignore pain or distance Himself from it. His timing is not a sign of indifference. But, we can understand God and what He is doing only as He reveals Himself: as a real Family who intends to expand His Family.
