Tears

As the world grows more insensitive to suffering, one of the first things God says He will do when He comes to dwell with mankind is to wipe away every tear from their eyes. Why might God start there? Why might He begin by addressing people’s tears? What does the Bible teach about tears, and what can we learn from them? This message, which examines tears (Hebrew: dimah) in the Old Testament, aims to encourage us, as children of God, to cultivate a healthy sense of sympathy and empathy for others’ tears, regardless of the reason for their tears.
