The Path

Hebrews 11:24-27 provides important insight into the life of Moses. These verses convey important steps in his early life and decisions Moses made him into the great servant of God he became. The path Moses walked is the same path all of God’s people have encountered and walked through the ages, up to today. The steps include refusing this world and walking a completely new path; choosing to suffer affliction rather than enjoy the temporary pleasures this world offers because we look to the reward; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than what this world offers; and patiently enduring because we see God who is invisible. These steps result from humbly accepting God’s will, turning away from what the world offers temporarily, and taking on the nature and mind of Jesus Christ and God the Father.
