God warns about the sins of Jeroboam repeatedly Bible. While our individual sins are bad enough, what set Jeroboam apart in God’s eyes was that he was given the opportunity to do right and to succeed, and he purposely chose to turn his back on what God was offering… and he influenced many others to do the same thing.
