We are living in an era where both God's angels and Satan's angels are very active, but the knowledge, truth, and recognition of their presence as defined in Scripture is being lost in the technological, sci-fi-driven, advanced cinematographic age. There are extremely popular movies and novels like Harry Potter, E.T., Alien, Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars, Star Trek, Batman, Avengers, and others that tell stories of superhuman, humanoid, and extraterrestrial beings battling between good and evil. But what does the Bible teach? There is so much that the Bible reveals about angels that it would take multiple sermons to cover it all. In Part 1, let’s start by scratching the surface a bit and addressing two questions:

1. What are angels?
2. How have angels communicated with God’s children?
