Satan, as an evil strategist, escalates his enticement from general influence to direct, targeted influence. Influence is defined as external pressure to change an outcome. Direct demonic influence occurs when Satan or his demons specifically target an individual to harm or attack them, or to cause them to break God’s law. This is not possession, but rather Satan raising the external attack from general influence that is always around us to direct, targeted influence on an individual, either by himself or through his demons.
