The Jews call this Feast Rosh Hashanah, which means “head of the year.” It ushers in a new civil year just as it will usher in a new age for mankind. The Jews look at this holy day as a time to reaffirm their dedication to God, the king of the earth, so it was the day on which they would officially coronate a new human king. And it signifies the time when God the Father will give power, dominion and a kingdom to the returned Jesus Christ, coronating Him as King of kings and Lord of lords.
