The Place of Safety?

Presented by Doug Horchak - September 15, 2017

For years, the Church has recognized references in Scripture to God protecting His people during the future time of God’s punishment of mankind. Where did this teaching originate? Is there any scriptural precedent to God protecting His people? Does the Bible teach of such a safe place for the Church in the future? If so, where might this place of protection be? Join Doug Horchak as he walks us through the Church’s historical teaching on this subject, coupled with what we can (and cannot) know from the Bible about the “place of safety” for God’s elect during the Tribulation and Day of the Lord.

How to Produce Godly Children

Presented by Dave Myers - September 15, 2017

Many tuning in to this study are parents with young children. Conscientious parents are concerned about how to raise their children in a godly manner. As parents, we can feel like we are wandering in the wilderness when it comes to finding solid guidelines by which to train our children. Yet our goal is to produce godly children that God will be pleased with and that we can be properly proud of. What are the most important values and behaviors that we should instill in our children?

A Time to Dance

Presented by David Johnson - September 15, 2017

In 2000 crossover country star Lee Ann Womack won the Grammy Award for the best country song of the year with the song “I Hope You Dance.” The song wasn’t so much about dancing as it was about recognizing and seizing the opportunities life brings your way. The opportunities God brings to Christians are unique and have a purpose for our lives, but sometimes we, too, may overlook the special possibilities God sets before us. Sometimes the path that seems to lead where we want to go is not the one we need to travel. Join us in this Bible study to learn more about recognizing when God is telling us it’s time to dance.

Reconciliation—One of the Principal Messages of the Bible

Presented by Mark Winner - May 19, 2017

Jesus Christ’s sacrifice to pay the death penalty for our sins was the ultimate act of reconciliation. But reconciliation is also something we are to practice with one another when and as needed. We often refer to a few verses in Matthew 18 in regards to this concept, but sadly, people frequently find it difficult to practice, giving a variety of excuses. Our love for God and His truth are what will ultimately drive us to seek reconciliation when and where needed. Join Mark Winner at 8 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, May 19, for “Friday Night Live” to see what God teaches regarding this important topic.

The Gates of Hades Shall Not Prevail Against It

Presented by Joel Meeker - May 1, 2017

Jesus stated in Matthew 16:18 that He would build His Church, and that it would never die. Thus there is an unbroken chain of Church members stretching from the day of Pentecost in A.D. 31 to the present time. What traces of that seamless line can we find in history? In this Friday Night Live, Joel Meeker will present an overview of the Church’s understanding of its history through the last nearly 2,000 years. Cicero said: “To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child.” We must understand our place and responsibilities in this worthy line of Christians.

Firstfruit: What Is That?

Presented by Jim Franks - April 14, 2017

After the Feast of Unleavened Bread we enter the countdown for Pentecost, which is also called the Feast of Firstfruits.  We are to count 50 days from the Sunday during Unleavened Bread in order to establish the date for Pentecost.   Over the years the dating of Pentecost has been controversial, and there has also been some controversy about the term “firstfruit.”  This is an agricultural term that has a spiritual application.  What does it really mean?

Who Are the Ministers of Jesus Christ?

Presented by Doug Horchak - February 18, 2017

Who are the real ministers of Jesus Christ? So many claim to represent God and Christ, but who are the men that actually DO represent Jesus Christ and the Church He founded? By what tradition or authority do they exist, and what role does the Bible say they should have in the Church? By reading through God’s Word, we will answer these and other questions about the servants God has commissioned to help care for His Church.

Be a Man! Or a Woman!

Presented by Dave Myers - January 20, 2017

Our current culture is confused on the topic of men and women – masculinity and femininity. What is a man and what is a woman? What is a man supposed to be like? How is he supposed to act? What is a woman supposed to be like? How is she supposed to act? And how should gentlemen and ladies interact with each other? To clear the confusion and help us to sort through the conflicting opinions offered by our culture, we’ll look to God’s Word for His framework. By using God’s word we will come to understand the basics of Godly masculinity and femininity and be encouraged to receive the joy that comes from living according to His guidelines.
